Miniature Galaga machine

There’s a constant flow of great machines to come out of the ArcadeControls forum. The majority of them following the discussed tried-and-tested styles for aesthetic and comfort reasons. Now and again something a little more interesting appears. This time from forum member, melarky. Behold the mighty… err the tiny Galaga cabinet…

Ok, the stats:

It’s 22″ tall, runs on a dedicated Jakks gameboard and the display is a 5″ LCD. That’s it!

IGN launches new Retro channel

Take a look at IGN’s new channel. It has old and new retro… if you know what I mean. From Pong to Playstation. I’m not sure where they got those Atari joysticks from though!

…according to i-Mockery.com.
Bear in mind that this is cabinet design and not about the games themselves. Quoting i-Mockery, because I couldn’t put it better myself… “Chances are you’ll see some games on here that you’ve never even heard of, and that’s likely because some of them sucked more than E.T. on the 2600″.

The Guinness world records – Gamers edition

Is this better than the longest tongue or the fattest dog? That’s not for me to say, but this is looking good.
