Coming soon from DreamArcades is the Octane 120 for those of you that wish to drink and drive in a safe manner.
The system contains a high-end gaming PC, built-in projector, 5.1 sound system and 2 beer-dispensing taps. No, that’s not a gear stick next to the wheel. Plus a cup-holder for when you’re driving.

Before the main website gets updated, here are some more photos and details for the new surface tension table.
The new surface tension table is totally unrecognisable as a gaming machine. Tempered, tinted glass to carefully hide what’s inside. Custom integrated speaker design so nothing is given away.
Click open the door at the back to reveal front-panel access to your PC. From here you can access USB ports, audio jacks and your optical drive. By designing in quality discreet hinges, the door can open fully without restriction.
The table comes to life when you pull the drawer out to reveal the control panel. Within seconds you’re ready to do battle. When you’re done, just push it back in and watch the soft-action buffers take care of the final part of travel, ensuring it doesn’t slam shut.
Anodised aluminium houses the genuine arcade parts; Sanwa sticks and Happ trackball and buttons. The sticks are also 4/8 way switchable… you’ll know what that means if you’ve ever tried playing Pac-man with an 8-way!
You’ll probably want to know some dimensions to see how it’s going to fit in.
At present, lead time is around 6 weeks.

Retro thing has an interesting article the Guinness World Record holder, Tim McVey (not the bomber). He is in there for being the first person to reach one billion points on an arcade game. The author, Bohus, met him over the weekend at a convention in Illinois.
The record was achieved at the age of 17 back in 1984 in Iowa. Now you can’t really put one billion points into perspective without a reference. Which is the part I just can’t get my head around. It took 44 hours. 44! I wouldn’t be able to stay awake for that long… especially without the likes of Red Bull.
He won a free Nibbler cabinet, but according to a recent post in the Twin Galaxies Forums, he sold it on shortly after. Shame.

UK-based manufacturer, Zombie Arcades have recently launched their sleek new upright arcade cabinet which now also has a brand new website to show it all off.
Each system is fitted with market-leading Samsung screens, top-of-the-range PC, Sanwa sticks and Ultimarc illuminated buttons… well, Zombies play at night, right?
This one is a great way of spending what should take 15-20 minutes… in your lunch break of course! 25 levels.
You have to destroy the number of blocks displayed in the top right without destroying the little totem fella… reminiscent of the idol Indy exchanges for a bag of sand.
