about
Hi, I’m Dan and I am a key developer of surface tension tables based on the south coast of England.
I have a bachelors degree In Electronics and Computer engineering and a history of working in the electronics field as an embedded C programmer in safety-critical applications.
How it got started…
It started out as a bit of fun when I made a replica machine back in 2000. Using some hefty MDF and authentic cigarette-resistant formica, I borrowed some power tools and got to work. One year later my creation was complete. The controls were strong enough to cope with even the roughest Track & Field enthusiast, the glass top strong enough to resist flying pool balls, and the computer… well, that was powerful enough to run MAME comfortably.
The table really came into its element during parties. It was a great distraction for the boys and there was never a quiet moment in its vicinity.
Retro-gaming history
It seems that I have been brought up on computer games by a mixture of my father and brother. Though the reason was probably to keep me quiet – or maybe I was just easy prey for a 2-player battle. I’d like to think I gave them a run for their money! At one time or another, I have owned…

Current systems
At present, I own a Gamecube, Xbox, 360 and Wii.
