Need arcade manuals?

Jason Scott over at textfiles.com is hosting a bunch of arcade manuals in pdf format. Well, when I say a bunch, I mean over 1,700. Not only the manuals, but there are also some schematics and machine information if you are trying to revive an uncared-for machine that you’ve managed to lay your hands on.

So anyway, here are the manuals…

Be sure to leave a nice comment.

pinball coffee table

Now here’s a thought…

For those of you that used to sink your ten pence pieces into pinball machines rather than uprights or cocktails, maybe it’s time to dust off those power tools and make one of these to have along side a surface tension table.

This is well worth a look, so do it. Though as I am well used to, everyone else wants their own twist on the design!

Delightable

This looks fantastic…

I bet you know what I’m thinking! The dark glass top, glowing surface… and the same problem with fingerprints!

Along the same theme of interactive tables, this is the work of Thomas Gardner, “developed as part of an investigation into reactive space”. Now available to buy commercially.

Head to head – Bespoke tables

Another company that turns up in my constant google searches for arcade tables is bespoke tables.

They have created the retro range of arcade tables (aswell as upright cabinets) called ‘Synergy’.

I noticed one of these whilst looking at the boys toys in the basement of Selfridges a little while ago. As soon as I clocked it, one of the store attendants clocked me and immediately started trying to sell it to me! It did look a little out of place amongst the robotic dogs and poker-chip sets, without even so much as a stool to sit on whilst playing it.

Head to head – Lizard lounger

There are a few arcade tables on the market in the UK and each of them have their good, and inevitably, bad points.

The Lounge Lizard Arcade Table is the first one I generally come across when I look on the net for arcade tables. It’s sold through www.iwantoneofthose.com and similar sites and as a result has become pretty exposed. It sure looks like a great arcade table harking back to the original tables of the 80′s.
