The new Dual arcade table – Head-to-head gaming

Some of you may have seen this, or even had a play on it last year at Replay in Blackpool. Well, it’s now officially released!

Based around the 60-in-1 arcade board, this baby is our entry-level system in our arcade table range. It is equally as well designed, built and finished as our other arcade tables but uses a dedicated arcade PCB rather than a PC system. So you just plug it in, turn it on and you’re away. Available in Walnut only.

Take a look at the specs and games list on our website and view more photos.

The new Rubik’s Cube seat from surface tension

We’ve been extremely busy lately. We haven’t eaten, we haven’t slept, and none of our friends have seen us in months!

We’re now pleased to announce the launch of three new products. As with all other surface tension products, they are all produced in the UK.

First up is the Rubik’s Cube seat, which is also a table and a storage unit. Made from MDF, sprayed to a fine black finish and stickered with pantone-matched colours to give a real authentic over-sized feel… measuring 45cm³.
These are currently in manufacture and are available now for pre-order for Christmas delivery in the UK, Eire and Channel Islands only.

Our new drinkUP arcade button coasters

We’ve just had our sample sets of arcade button coasters in! There are a couple of colour tweaks to be done, but they are just about ready. They should be up on the site within a couple of weeks so make sure you check back here or on our website.

RetroGT will also be holding some stock at Replay this year as we won’t be attending.
Available in 2 flavours: 4player and 4colour, 95mm diameter.

Photo shoot for the forthcoming ‘Dual’

We got a bunch of friends round over the weekend and took a whole load of photos for surface tension‘s forthcoming ‘Dual’ arcade table which will be available in early September. Partying around a coffee table under bright lights is definitely the way to spend a Saturday!

I didn’t get much time to play it myself, but it was hard getting certain people off it! Either that or they loved having their photo taken!

Help us decide on our Rubik’s Cube Stool!

You may have seen our pre-production Rubik’s Cube stool at R3play last year and it won’t be long before it becomes a reality. But we need some help deciding which should be the ‘missing’ colour.

rubik_stool.JPG

Because it is storage and requires feet, it must have an orientation. So as a result, one colour must be lost :( But, we’re running a poll so you can help decide which colour that is! :)

Due to the design, each colour has a set opposing colour, so whatever colour you choose to get rid of, decides what colour you’ll be sitting on! Every silver lining has a cloud…

White is opposite Yellow, Blue is opposite Green and Red is opposite Orange. Or if you like images…

So, we’d love to hear your input on this one. You could leave us a message here, or better still, head over to our facebook page and just click on the choice of colours. If you’d like to join the page, we’d like that too.

New Acer Aspire netbook

I think I feel the purchase of a couple of new company netbooks coming on.

According to engadget, this is the forthcoming Acer Aspire 722, with a rather sweet blue ripple design if I may say so :)
